Empowering the next
generation of Queens

QueenTea™ is a structured mentoring program for girls in grades K–12 — building confidence, civility, sisterhood, and financial knowledge through the warmth and elegance of afternoon tea.

About QueenTea™

More than manners.
A movement.

Afternoon tea has a rich and powerful history as a space where women gathered to connect, converse, and support one another. Originating in 19th century England, it was one of the few social settings where women of all backgrounds could come together — away from the demands of daily life — to share ideas, build friendships, and find community. That tradition of connection, elegance, and sisterhood is exactly what QueenTea™ was built upon.

QueenTea™ is a mentoring program tailored for elementary, middle, and high school girls. As its name suggests, we host etiquette and social enrichment sessions for our queens while enjoying afternoon tea — creating a fun, engaging environment that stimulates conversation, builds confidence, and develops lasting character.

QueenTea™ is dedicated to providing the positive influences that will empower our girls to develop the social tools they need to become brilliant, successful, and contributing members of society — just as they were intended to be. We help develop the necessary life skills to make positive choices by providing guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear.

Empowerment is one of the most effective strategies for building both confidence and competence. QueenTea™ strives to meet the social needs of our girls — because the best way to predict our children's future is to help them create it.

The QueenTea™ Model

How it works

Our program is most beneficial with practice and repetition — a minimum of eight sessions is recommended for lasting impact.

01
Book a Program
Schools, recreation centers, camps, nonprofits, and community organizations reach out to schedule a QueenTea™ series.
02
8+ Sessions
A structured series of at least eight sessions, each building on the last — because real transformation takes time, practice, and consistency.
03
Peer Mentoring
Older girls mentor younger girls throughout the program — building leadership at every level and creating a culture of support.
04
Session Celebration
After completing a series, girls are recognized with a certificate and a special tea moment together — an intimate acknowledgment of their growth and commitment.
05
The Tea Party Finale
After six months to a full year of consistent participation, families are invited to The Tea Party Finale — a beautifully set celebration where girls showcase their transformation. This is the moment worth waiting for.

Why It Matters

The impact of
civility & connection

Civil social interaction is of great importance. With the rise of social media technologies, we spend less time interacting as families, as communities, and especially one-on-one. In our modern society, less face-to-face interaction and connection, busyness with extracurricular activities, and daily life stress can sometimes detract from the attention that should be given to learning and practicing respect, kindness, and good manners.

QueenTea™ understands that by teaching civility and etiquette, our girls will become more respectful of others and themselves — through gestures and words. It is our responsibility to protect our children's futures and to provide them opportunities to develop the social tools they need to become successful, contributing members of their communities.

Financial Literacy

Teaching queens about money

One of the few youth enrichment programs that weaves age-appropriate financial education directly into its core curriculum — because confidence with money is confidence in life.

Budgeting Basics
Understanding income, expenses, needs vs. wants, and how to make smart spending choices from an early age.
Saving & Goals
Setting short and long-term financial goals and building the life-changing habit of saving early.
Economic Empowerment
Understanding how money, work, and opportunity connect — and how girls can build financial independence on their own terms.
Entrepreneurship Seeds
Planting early ideas of business thinking, self-sufficiency, and value creation for tomorrow's leaders and changemakers.

Shane Alleyne is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a professional social entrepreneur. She attended Morgan State University — one of America's premier HBCUs — where she learned not just from her coursework, but from being part of an institution built specifically to uplift those who have historically been overlooked. That experience gave her a lens she has never put down: a deep awareness of who gets left behind, and a commitment to building spaces that bring them forward.

With more than 20 years of experience across healthcare, compliance, and organizational development, Shane has built programs and led teams in some of the most complex environments — always with people at the center.

But QueenTea™ is personal. Shane is a mother — and raising her daughter gave her a front-row seat to what young girls need and what they too often don't get. She saw firsthand how confidence, connection, and community can shape the trajectory of a girl's life. She saw what happens when a young girl feels seen, heard, and valued. And she saw the gap — the space between what girls need and what most programs actually offer. QueenTea™ was her answer to that gap.

She believes that when you teach a girl to show up with grace, kindness, and financial awareness — you change not just her life, but her family and her community for generations.
